Owner description: Millions and millions of people have flocked through the doors of Madame Tussauds since they first opened over 200 years ago and it remains just as popular as it ever was. There are many reasons for this enduring success, but at the heart of it all is good, old-fashioned curiosity. Today's visitors are sent on a unique, emotionally-charged journey through the realms of the powerful and famous. The museum-style ropes and poles have gone so guests can truly get up, close and personal with A-list celebrities, sporting legends, political heavyweights and historical icons, reliving the times, events and moments that made the world talk about them....

Tip: Don’t pay full price. Find a website or ticket sales booth to buy discounted tickets. It saves you a lot, The museum was neat. Some celebrities looked more realistic than others. The 4D show was a nice surprise. It was fun, but I wouldn’t pay full cost for it.

A quick trip as I've been to Vegas a few times and have passed Madam Tussauds without going.
Overall it was ok. Some of the waxworks are pretty good. Others aren't! I was only there about 30 minutes and wouldn't go again. However, I'm glad I went.

Make sure you go visit this museum, it's rife with characters that epitomize what Vegas was and IS to today. Take your camera and don't forget to see the cool 4D movie!

We had a buy one get one free coupon for this and glad we did. Not worth $32 a person. It was pretty fun and something to do during the day. The 4D movie at the end was the best part.

I visited Wax Museum with my 14 year old daughter and she really enjoyed all the photo opps with famous stars. It's divided into 4 rooms--one for movie stars, one for sports heroes, one for musical artists of today and another room for musical stars of old (Liberace, the Rat Pack). Takes less than an hour to get through the exhibit. One thing that separates this from other wax museums I went to as a kid (in the 1960-early 70s) is that you can touch the figurines and really see how they are made. So lifelike it is eerie. A word about tickets: shop around! You don't have to pay full price (approx.. $25/adult). Buy tickets online at Groupon or one of the many Vegas discount sites. You can buy a combo deal that includes entrance to wax museum plus gondola ride around the Venetian's beautiful canal. Another option is to take a 10% off- coupon from one of the guys on the street near the Venetian. Or walk up to the ticket counter and ask for a senior discount (55+). Finally: if you are pressed for time/money, skip the museum and just walk for FREE through the "Canal Shops" at the Venetian. It's really cool how they have created an "evening in Venice" atmosphere with painted ceiling and mood lighting. Stroll by the shops and peek over the railing to watch gondolas lazily pass by.
