Nice twist on regular dishes. Although there is ALOT of food. Its a great view of the pool area or the decor facing in and the bar area is beautiful and contemporary.
The service was wonderful and friendly.

And Blah. It was pricey and not that great. Really quiet if you are looking for some of that. Compared to the Buffett at the Wynn- this was like Denny's.

We've dined at Simon before and like the light, healthy plates they offer at a good price during Happy Hour (plus $6 wine). The ambiance suggests a hangout for locals, low-key and with a relaxing view of the Palms Palace 6th floor pool/cabana complex. Staff was friendly and small plates were yummy -- especially the charred edamame and flatbread pizza. One of our dishes came out of the kitchen a little late, so the manager came over and comped us a round of drinks. She explained the chef will be changing, and so will the theme and fare of the restaurant -- more steak and burgers. So I'm not sure we would return because our taste runs toward sushi and salads. But it's a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, so give it a try.

Yes, it is a bit convoluted getting to this place from the Palms casino floor.. two elevators.. long winding corridors.. two moving walkways (lots of twists and turns). But when you do finally get to the place you'll be pleasantly surprised.. for this is one of the best 'casual dining' restaurants on the Strip. Before a concert at The Pearl, we did all apps.. all very good... ahi tuna tartar.. crab-cake (exceptional).. sashimi.. pear-endive, blue cheese salad.. and there's more very interesting items to choose from. Service was top notch (Stacey).. and the total bill was half what you'll pay in many other places. Do happy hour from 3 to 6 and the savings improve. One note to management.. put a Cloudy Bay sauvignon blanc on the wine list and the whole experience goes from 4.5 to 5 stars.

We held a dinner meeting at the Simon and we met in the Herb Room. It was perfect! The speaker had ample room, as did the attendees. Loved the presentation of the food; it was served as you would at home with about 3-4 servings in the serving dish and we "passed our plate". The only down side was the sun beaming in on us and making it a bit hard to see the presentation on the screen.
