Yeah, it COVID time, but this was pretty minimalist for the cost. Room was clean. WiFi sketchy, pool and spa closed, no breakfast, no access to private beach, no air conditioning. Daily housekeeping only on request. The website is not updated to reflect the COVID modifications.

What a great little hotel! The room was spacious, spotless, and perfect. Check in was quick and easy, staff was professional. Location was easy to access, and we were even able to walk to the restaurants and bars nearby. Will be back soon.
Rooms are perfectly nice. So long as you absolutely do not need to access the internet, the hotel does the trick nicely. Great location. The kids at the front desk try their best, even if they are 18 and checked out etc. (Ha!) But obviously if we had all known that, as the gent at the front desk put it, "yeah we have lots of trouble with our internet," we would've gladly paid the extra $30 to stay at the Hyatt. Where by the way...we all had no choice but to hike to use their internet.
We were very happy with our stay at Parkside Inn. The room was bigger than expected and absolutely fresh and spotlessly clean. It is right off of a main road but nestled in the trees so feels secluded. We only had one day to visit Lake Tahoe and so it was great that the inn is only a few miles from stunning Sand Harbor where we spent the day and watched the sunset. The towel art in the room was a nice touch!
Light sleepers beware: if you sleep on the first floor, pray that you have no upstairs neighbors! Early and late walking on the floors kept us awake! We could also hear fans and other sounds from neighbors through the walls. The room was advertised as a Premium Room, however we found out that this is actually their standard room category--a bit misleading. The room was adequate with some huge flaws: the bathroom fan sounded like a mack truck, there were no towel bars by the sink, the faucet was extremely hard to change temperatures. Overall, I would never recommend it.
You do get a bang for your buck staying here. I do wish they served breakfast -- I remember reading somewhere that they offered that, but that must have been an older review -- but they have a living room area where there is coffee and hot water. There's also a small microwave in that room. Room was cozy and the bed was comfy. The bathroom is on the older side, but all the essentials are there (hair dryer, basic toiletries). Everything was pretty clean.
