My family has stayed here for 8 years and now that i have kids i bring them here too. the motel is late 50s style the beds have been upgraded recently and you get a porch with tables and chairs to relax in. the staff is friendly and understanding of a few parents who want to let a bit loose at night witha few drinks and a projection screen movie we set up on the grass. They have coal bbq setups a volley ball net and nice marina with a good food home type cafe. The AC blows cold and is properly cleaned while we are out on the water.

the only issue this year was a clogged shower drain, but what can u expect from a older motel....maintenence was called and arrived quickly. we will come back so long as the price stays affordable and the rooms sure do go fast!!! so be on the ball about that. 4stars

Room Tip: book reservations up to a year early.

My husband and I have stayed here three times since 2008 and each trip was fantastic. The rooms are large, clean and reasonably priced. The sliding glass door opens onto the patio area which has a table, 4 chairs and fronts a BBQ area, marina and roped-off swimming beach. There is also a well stocked general store and nice cafe. It's a perfect motel for gatherings and each time we've gone with 4-5 other couples, boated up past Willow Beach and returned for an evening BBQ . This year we saw the new Hoover Dam Bipass Bridge from Black Canyon and it was spectacular. The only downside to this motel is that you need to book 15 months in advance for summer weekends or about 12 months ahead for weekdays.

We had a great time at the Hotel. The only thing it needs is to upgrade the beds and the TV's The Antique TV's are interesting, my son was asking what all the stuff behind the screen was. I told him that was the way TV'S were in the old days before Flat Screens. The water was great and the Staff was very warm, especially the manager, I think hername was Teresa, thanks for a great time.

Wish my fiance didn't grow up here cause she wants to go back and I rather not spend a single cent at this place since they are so rude and unhelpful. It was a dump and their prices are very high for the quality of everything. There are many other places up the river at lake mead that are way better plus lake mead is better for water sports anyways.

This is a great location if you want a boating vacation. From the marina you can rent boats of all kinds as well as jet skis. We brought our own boat and were able to slip it for a small nightly fee. We stayed in the motel which has the best location right in front of a swimming beach. Even though swimming beach is in the marina, it has extremely clean water. The motel itself is fairly run down. As you can imagine, sandy feet and sunscreen can take its toll on a room. The decore is very basic with white painted cinder block walls. If your going to bring small kids, ask for extra sheets that you can cover the carpet. The rooms have a refrigerator, but no microwave. You can camp cook on the front porch or use the bbq out front. Be prepared, this is no five star hotel, but the location makes up for it.
The marina itself has all the amenities you would want. The store is well stocked with basic groceries and camping gear. It also has a good selection of marine supplies for your boat and fishing pole, including bait. Everything is very high priced, marked up 50% or so. If you decide to stay here, plan your supplies well to save money, but don't panic if you forget something because the store will have it. The marina has gas both on and off the water at a reasonable price. You also don't have to worry about ice as it is the cheapest thing in the store with 10lb, 20lb and block ice available 24 hours.
The resort also has a restaurant with basic cafe style food. We ate there once and it was so-so and also expensive.
