“Great deal”
Reviewed 18 September 2011

Older property but was clean, updated type bedding, comfy bed. It is your basic $60 hotel but was clean and everything worked fine. I was expecting a lot less so was happy. Great value for quick overnight stay. Staff was very friendly. Used the laundry facilities, only one washer and dryer but they worked well. I would stay here again.

The property is older and basically clean but seems run down on the outside. The rooms we had was basically clean but little things stay not as enjoyable as it could of been. The toilet stopped flushing and the fan in the bath howled really loud and there were ants in and around the sink. On the plus side the air conditioning worked really good! I don't think I would recommend this hotel for people traveling to the Carson City area.

For $61 per night, this Quality Inn served its purpose. It is an older motel and shows its age a little bit, but the room was comfortable enough. The only real negative was a dingy shower curtain that should definitely be replaced. Wi-fi worked perfectly. Beds comfy. Good selection of TV channels, including HBO. Breakfast above average. Downtown location near a couple of casinos. Two tiers, with no elevator to second floor.

This is a lower-end Quality Inn. It does not have an AAA Rating. But it was cheaper than nearly all Quality Inns. I paid $54 (AAA/AARP rate). Based upon the room that I was in I would have given it a one-diamond rating. This is an older L-shaped motel downtown without any highway noise (US 395 & US 50 bypass the downtown area so you do not have to deal with vehicle noise all night). My room was plenty quiet. The room was clean and everything worked in it. The staff was friendly and polite. Most importantly to me, the bed was very comfortable and the bedding all fit just fine. Carson City is not an expensive town to stay in: there are other choices too in the $40-$50 range for motels that have official AAA ratings but, as I indicated above, based upon my room experience I’d say it was one-diamond anyway.

Room Tip: Since the motel is not on US 395 or US 50, all rooms are fairly quiet.

I booked 12 rooms for my daughter's soccer team and overall nobody had any complaints. The manager (owner?) Harry was very accommodating during the entire process and stay.

The Bad:
Some of the rooms smelled like smoke even though they were "non-smoking"
I didn't get a wake-up call (luckily, I had set my alarm as a back up)
Not all the rooms got cleaned on the second day (not a huge deal for most of us)
No elevator to second floor, exterior corridors
Thin walls - bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper

The Good:
Great manager and staff - helpful to the max with everything I requested
Clean rooms, handy location, not too big a facility and not in a casino!
Great price and value
Frig in every room, got a microwave when I asked for one
Very nice breakfast with hot eggs/bacon and tons of other choices
Good sized rooms with desk/chair, table/chairs, comfy beds, iron/ironing board, etc.

The Bottom Line:
This place is well managed and it's not a dive.
Overall, a great choice for the budget traveler - it's perfectly satisfactory for a few nights.
It worked for us!!

Room Tip: Stay on second floor - it's much quieter
