“OK if you want just donuts ....”

A strange place which clearly has a loyal clientele for donuts but if you're passing through and just want coffee and a toasted sandwich, no luck here.
Espresso was strong but macchiato was actually a latte (Starbucks influence?!). Both coffees served in throwaway plastic cups even though we sat in. They had breakfast sandwiches but said they couldn't toast them for us and there was no wi-fi.

Ahhhmazing donuts. I tried the glazed donuts. They were light and smothered with just the right amount of glaze. Only had 2 but could have easily devoured more! I also tried the bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. It was on a bun they bake in house. And it was wonderful. The bun was light and had a flavor that made me want more. The eggs looked like a scrambled/baked concoction which worked perfectly on a to go sandwich. They double wrap the sandwich and that kept it piping hot and made the cheese really gooey. I also tried the coffee- decaf and a cappuccino. They were just fine! And the staff were super friendly and helpful.

This review concerns the Daylight Bakery, which is a sister establishment across the street from Daylight Donuts. This place has the best sandwiches in town. Period. End of conversation. Since its a bakery, the white or wheat sandwich rolls are that-morning fresh. The meats, cheeses, etc., are first quality, and served hot. These people know how to slice a tomato, THIN! (I hate it when my sandwich arrives with a two-inch slab, obviously cut with a dull knife). They also serve breakfast, and have ice cream and bakery products. The seating area is fairly large, and the atmosphere pleasant. The sister establishment across the street offers drive-up service. The menu is not large, but they also have soups, salads, and fancy baked potatoes. If you are in town, or just passing through, this is the place you want to stop for lunch.
