Great people watching, especially in the bar surrounded by wild life antlers. Drinks were generously poured and dinner came with salad or shrimp cocktail, bread, baked or twice baked potato, and ice cream. The steaks - filet mignons - were done to perfection and very tasty. The best we've had in a while. The shrimp cocktail was the the tiny kind over celery pieces. I think the salads are better. The ice cream with caramel was a nice touch for dessert.

If you are staying between 3 Forks and Bozeman, MT make this trip to Magic Steakhouse. Come very hungry or you will miss everything. I had their Canard a la Orange and it was delicious. You get a relish plate, choice of soup or salad and type of potato. You have a lot of variety to choose from. Get their early because it fills up fast after 6PM. The confusing thing is that this restaurant is in LOGAN not Manhattan.

In the area for a few days and after reading the reviews, chose Land of Magic. We have high standards as my husband is an excellent cook and his father was a French chef. They start by serving a relish plate. Years ago fine restaurants did this and it's rare now. Next you receive a small bread loaf, and salad. Main course with twice baked potato and the prime rib. The au jus was excellent and not watery and the horse radish sauce too was excellent. We both had the prime rib and it was perfectly cooked as the medium rare we ordered. The meal ends with a sundae. The service matched the amazing meal. The old west paintings on the wall add to the cabin-like ambiance.

A friend referred us to this gem in Logan MT. We visit this area frequently but had never been to this steakhouse. It was fabulous! We had the best seasoned steak prepared perfectly. One of us had scamp and the orher steamed prawns. Both were four large prawns and complimented the steak. Our meal came with salad or shrimp cicktail, load of fresh bread, relush tray, choice of potato, and ice cream for $33. The twiced baked potato was yummy! Actually, everything was yummy! The staff was friendly and efficient. It is not a big place so make reservations.

I read about the Land of Magic several years ago, and kept the article as a reminder to visit should I ever be in the area. So, having moved to Montana almost 4 years ago, I now live within 30 miles of this delicious restaurant. It's not the easiest place to find, being in Logan, with an address of Manhattan - yet it's right off I90 and worth the time and effort - as you'll find out - it's busy, especially on weekends - so you'll need reservations. It's unassuming from the beginning - yet embodies what the usual Steakhouse in Montana should look like. Simple building - one room with many tables and the usual rustic artwork and memorabilia. It's a loud and friendly place -so don't expect to be in a quiet, serene setting with candles. This is a steakhouse - in Montana, and it's all about great service, excellent steaks, and a fair price. And compared to others in Bozeman, or beyond, probably a bit on the low side of pricing.
My prime rib was perfect as ordered - med. rare, my gals petite tenderloin, the same. The meal starts with a relish tray, includes soup AND salad, dinner, and a small ice-cream at the finish. And don't forget the fresh baked mini-load of bread that comes out right before your meal. You will not go away hungry. It's fun, it's comfortable and I can't wait to go back again. Bring your friends, and family. You won't be disappointed.
