Sometimes your timing is just right and in our case we made plans to stay at the Lodge while exploring Lolo and the Bitterroot well in advance and as fate would have it we were the only guests staying this particular night in early May.
Fortunately for us we have been to other Hot Springs in Montana that honestly make Lolo look like the Taj Mahal. The point is that while fairly rustic and spartan in its amenities and price-point, the Lodge is very well maintained, clean, and quiet. Sure you may not have a sink in your room, but who cares. The 2 indoor soaking areas were incredibly spacious, immaculate and had a shower and restroom slash changing room.
This is one of the nicer Hot Springs around and is not too far off the beaten path being less than an hour from
Missoula. Go! Soak! Enjoy!More
