I love tapas places as I get to taste lots of yummy things. This was especially true at 406. It was a gorgeous evening so we sat outside on their pet friendly patio, our little furry kid got to enjoy the experience too. I had possibly the best gin gimlet I've ever tasted, along with delicious empanadas, bacon wrapped dates, pork belly flat bread, and bison sliders. All were outstanding, as was whatever that ridiculous chocolate dessert thingy was.

We visited this restaurant a year ago and had a decent meal. Decided to return and were shocked at how far it had dropped in quality. Ordered a bottle of white wine and it was warm. One person ordered a martini and it was served in a juice glass because they ran out of clean martini glasses. The glass had 2 chips in the rim. 3 out of four of us ordered a caesar salad starter and the parmesan coating on the lettuce appeared straight out of a can. Another in our party selected the empanadas. The flavor was good but the filling was sparse. My entree was the Spicy Asian Calamari Noodles. It was inedible. The waiter said it was spicy but, this was so hot, it overpowered all the other flavor. The calamari was sparse and the size of the pieces were smaller then a dime. It was pathetic. I anticipated the noodles being asian rice and instead, they had the consistency spaghetti. The veggies were lost inside a big clump of pasta. No one in our party of 4 were satisfied with our meal. The service also suffered.

Went to dinner at the 406 for the first (and last) time last night. The restaurant was loud and hard to carry a conversation in. The waitress was terrible, no personality and not very helpful. It was so loud we couldn't hear her when she told us the special . It took forever to get our meal and she never checked on us even once. The tapas were aweful, tasted like canned sauces....the steak tacos were extremely tough. We told the cashier we were very unhappy as we had to go there and ask for our check or we'd still be waiting. She said "sorry" And why would we go back?

We absolutely loved the 406 Bar and Grill in Kalispell. Our recommendation came from a local person who promised we would not be disappointed. They nailed it. The ambience, staff and food were absolutely wonderful. Our visit was on the first night in town and then we returned on our last night, as well. Being of the vegetarian persuasion, it would be safe to say that one has now had the best veggie burger on the planet. Our server, Priscilla was just the best. Thankful to have found this restaurant.

During our trip to Kalispell, my husband and I decided to check this place out. We ate there last Thursday evening and everything with our food and drinks were great until our last few minutes. After receiving our bill, my husband was finishing his last sip of beer and found not one but two pieces of glass in his drink. He first made contact with the glass in his mouth, spit it out and was just thankful that he didn't chug back his beer quickly otherwise it would have been a different story. We did talk to our server and basically said to please check the glasses before serving because not only could it happen to someone else, but it could have been a lot worse off for us. He just kind of brushed it off, laughed and joked that he hopes my husband doesn't get internal bleeding. We ended up just paying the bill and leaving as quickly as we could and now regret not talking to management about this matter. Luckily he is fine, but it would have been nice for our server to not joke about it and to at least offer some sort of compensation. Just a little unfortunate that this situation happened since we actually really did enjoy the food and drinks and his service up until that point.

Hello Kristi, my name is Brian ScottiBelli Owner and Chef of 406 Bar & Grill. First off J would sincerely like to apologize for your unfortunate experience at our establishment, and most of all your server. This was handle completely wrong and every aspect of the situation, I truly wish my wife and I were there that day to take care of this. We are truly glad your husband is ok and hope that if you live in town to come back and have a dinner on us and if not hopefully in the future if you do return to the area we can do the same. The server has been spoken to and told how to handle things of this nature for the future. Thanks again for your comments and have a great day..
