We stayed at the YBI last August and had a wonderful experience. Greg was a wealth of knowledge, giving us some great tips to make our visit to the park more memorable. The on-site calf-roping was a lot of fun for kids and adults alike. Breakfasts were great, and the restaurant recommendations were right on. The only drawback was that it wasn't in the park itself, but it's kind of nice to be a bit more secluded. We'll definitely stay there when we return.

We wanted to visit the north and eastern parts of Yellowstone and view the entrance with the stone archway. We were not disappointed with our choice of accommodations. We received great advice from Greg and traveled Route 212 through Beartooth Pass to witness incredible scenery and the most scenic drive in the US! Greg was the most helpful host we have ever had! Breakfast was fresh daily, but do not linger in bed. The good eats deplete fast. Porch lights were left on for safety, we would have preferred perfectly dark skies. (Safety first) The hot tub looked inviting but we did not use it. Quiet and peaceful and lots of wildlife on the morning drive. Restaurants a nearby drive. Nice front porch with tables and chairs to enjoy the view or snacks.

Room Tip: No elevators, but upper rooms would have been quieter and better views. Rooms below stairs can be no...

My friend and I stayed here in September for 2 nights. Lovely place to stay, easily accessible to Yellowstone and Mammoth Hot springs.

Room Tip: Room near the dining room was excellent.

We had a great time. The owners are warm and friendly. They were really helpful on were to go hiking and see the most wild life. They let us know what restaurants are good, and breakfast at the hotel was home made and different everyday. We had a great time and plan on returning next year.

Room Tip: All the beds were brand new. All the rooms were remodeled last winter. Everything was new and clean...

This location is a great place to stay when visiting the north and east sections of the park, including Mammoth Hot Springs and LaMar Valley and Bear Tooth highway. The rest of the park is accessible from Gardiner, but it takes some time to get there. Gardiner is also the only entrance to Yellowstone open all year. The inn is comfortable, clean and quiet. It is out away from town and overlooks the river and mountains. The breakfast is fabulous and the owners (Greg and Sabina) are into healthy organic type cooking, so it is actually good for you. They also offer a packed lunch to take into the park, which is a good value and tasty. Greg can advise you on places (and times) to go in the park, and is also quite a good source for exceptional lodging and eating establishments all over the country. We had a great stay and felt the value was exceptional. Greg made us feel at home and we had a comfortable bed, clean and quiet room and wished we could have stayed longer. We will definitely come again.
