Mark has an awesome sense of humor, an encyclopedic knowledge of Montana (and most anything for that matter) and is a great cook. The living room is well-stocked with books and guides while the front hall closet and dining room area contain items useful for hikes and day trips (backpacks, insulated lunch bags, bear spray, etc.) There is a separate kitchen facility for guests- stocked with cooking utensils, plates, etc. as well as some exercise equipment. We didn't take advantage of the beer, wine or sodas plentifully stocked for guests at the main house, but had we done so, we could have sat down to view a DVD on a bog screen and/or used the computer to peruse the internet and/or read email.
When the power to the B & B went down first thing in the morning, he demonstrated his McGyver-like prowess in getting the priority items up and running with a generator- water pump and hot water, then coffee maker! Shortly thereafter, the power was restored, but Mark's response and response time to the potential crisis was quick and decisive!
Next time we go to Glacier, we'll definitely stay at Bad Rock Bed & Breakfast again!

Room Tip: Each room has its merits - there are rooms in the main bed and breakfast building as well as "c...

This is a well run B&B and above average although not luxurious. The property is in excellent condition, and the host is very attentive. Breakfast does not compare to the top tier of B&Bs, but is more than adequate (except for the one day when power had been out earlier). A cold, substitute breakfast on the day of the earlier power outage should have resulted in an appropriate reduction to the day's charge, but none was given (or requested, given the relatively small amount at issue). Pluses include laundry facilities, exercise equipment, outdoor seating, a very quiet location, and great conversation. We would stay there again, but it's not a destination or special occasion B&B. It is, in my opinion, a much better value and option than staying in the lodges on the west side of Glacier NP.

Room Tip: The rooms in the detached buildings out back may be quieter than the rooms in the house. Other guest...

My husband and I spent 3 nights at this beautiful, clean and welcoming piece of heaven. We enjoyed one of the comfortable cabins behind the main house. The sunsets out our front door were beautiful and the wildlife that we saw were breathtaking. We made this our home base, began each day with one of Mark's awesome breakfasts (including one morning that Mark packed us a breakfast to go so we could get to the Red Bus excursion in Glacier early) and then traveled from here to sights in all directions. They have everything you would have if you were home including a offering of wine, beer, snacks, books, and movies that were available each evening. We highly recommend this bed and breakfast!

Room Tip: All of the rooms were very nice, clean, and comfortable.

My husband and I stayed at the Bad Rock B&B for three nights and wished we could have stayed longer! The location is perfect for a trip to Glacier National Park, and the accomodations are awesome. We stayed in the Avalanche room, which was great. No TV in the room is a plus.

The breakfasts were amazing. The rooms were spotless. There is a public kitchen and a grill to use if you want to make your own lunch or dinner. There is also a stocked bar with wine, beer and sodas, which are free. Something you rarely see.

Mark is a great host and goes out of his way to accommodate everyone. He even lent us his double kayak, took time to take us to the drop off point, and then left us a car at the pickup so we could get back to the B&B.

Can't wait to go back some day!

We stayed one night in July after a full day touring GNP westbound on the Road to the Sun. It's about 20 minutes from West Glacier and very easy to find. The street leading up to the Inn is mixed residential, but the property surrounding it is open and uncluttered. We stayed in the rear cabins 5 and 6 with king beds, frig, microwave, a/c, ceiling fan, shower only bathroom (minus for me) and a sitting area. The main house is lovely and has a living room area with a wet bar including soft drinks, wine and snacks (there were fresh cherries when we were there, yum). Mark recommended the Three Forks Grille in Columbia Falls, about 10 minutes away - excellent choice for casual fine dining. Breakfast was served at 830am by Mark and his staff with a hot egg casserole, fruit, juice, coffee, english muffins and the fixin's. We also walked behind the Inn to the potter and purchased a few small peices before we moved on. All together, this was a perfect fit for us... clean, comfortable, thoughtfully decorated and equipped. Add the Three Forks Grille for dinner and it made for an excellent overnight.

Room Tip: We liked the privacy of the back cabins but would have preferred a bathtub.
