Do some shopping and have a great lunch at Rio Sabinas Southwestern Grill. Get one of Michelle G's tables. She really made our dining experience a "fun event"!!! She is very personable and was so helpful with making some great entree selections. Our orders included the Bad Lands Burrito, Braised Beef Enchiladas, Fajita Beef Enchilada, Baja Burrito, and a platter of nachos. We had one heck of spread and shared everything among the five of us. We turned our lunch into a total sampler for everyone. Michelle worked our table with drinks and conversation. We really enjoyed our lunch and we will certainly be back. Get one of Michelle's tables and she will guarantee a fabulous experience.

We went in later around 9 pm and they were open until 11 pm . We were seated right away and the service was fast and friendly. Teh meals we ordered were served in a timely manner and really well prepared.

I have gone to Rio Sabinas twice - once right after it opened, and one last weekend. Both times left a lot to be desired, we gave it a second try hoping it had improved. The specifics of this review are of our latest trip there 2 days ago.

The food - well, not much to say about it. It was good to fill the stomach, but didn't have much flavor. The best thing we are was the green sauce they served with the chips before the meal.

The service was mediocre at best. Our server was friendly, but didn't have much knowledge. We asked him what the salsa and sauce were that is served with the chips. He said the red was some kind of chili sauce, and the green stuff (the good stuff) was what they call green sauce, but he had no idea what was in it.

The cleanliness was terrible. They put a tablecloth down, and then put paper on top of the tablecloth - but just on the top (doesn't hang over the sides). Our tablecloth had all sorts of stains on it - on the sides. So the dirty spots were actually resting on us. As tables around us were cleared and reset, I noticed other tablecloths with the same issue. The person just ignored them and put paper on the table and went about their evening.

We gave it a second chance hoping it would have improved since opening. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be any better. With all of the choices to eat in Billings, I am surprised it has stayed open considering the lack of flavoring in the food, service, and cleanliness (or lack of). I would not recommend this place to anyone. I only gave it two stars because our waiter was friendly, kept our drinks refilled, and checked on us frequently.

Lunch at the Billings Rio Sabina's was very good. The chicken melt was goads and the service was excellent. The waiter was very patient trying to understand my wife's gluten intolerance. Thumbs up.

We ate here recently as we traveled through Billings. We are from Texas so we enjoy Mexican food and we were pleased with Rio Sabinos! They have some unusual choices with several fish options available. Their chips and salsa were delicious! The staff is friendly and we had good service. The prices are reasonable and the servings are generous.
