Good prices for produce and a great environment, We enjoyed seeing a bit of local life in this quaint neighborhood just outside of downtown.

We went to Soulard when looking for a BBQ restaurant. This was primarily a farmer's market and butchers.

Went to Souldard Market. Fun, but very crowded. Recommend getting a bloody mary. Also, check out 1860's Bar. Fun!

It reminds me of New Orleans. Some of the same vendors at the Farmer's Market have been there for years. The spice shop is really special. Toward the later part of the day you can negotiate for even lower prices. It's an experience that's truly unique.

I love farmers markets and thus searched out this little jewel. Since it was on a Wed. afternoon, many booths and stalls were not open, but oh, the ones that were, were amazing. The spice shop inside was just devine! The scent of fresh spices being ground filled the air. and their prices are fabulous. I purchased fresh meats, cheeses, fruits, veggies, and flowers while there and spent just $20! I was amazed at the prices. I would love to come back on a hopping autumn Saturday morning! I bet it's wonderful!
