As a birthday dinner, one of our friends made a reservation for fourteen at Kobe. We were told that we would be split into two parties, possibly in two rooms. When we arrived, we had a short wait, and were then escorted to one room, where we all were together. There were two grills and two chefs. Our chef, Vincent, was very friendly, interacting with our group while preparing our food.
With a free online coupon, everyone was able to add six shrimp to any entree. I had the Hibachi steak, a very well-prepared steak, cut into chunks. It came with a small salad and a clear soup....very tasty. It also came with fried vegetables, steamed rice, and some delicious noodles. Hubby had the Ahi tuna, which was prepared perfectly. Everyone in our group was pleased with our meal, and the entertaining show presented by the chef.
With a lovely view of the surrounding area from the twelvth floor, the atmosphere is charming, and it is child-friendly, especially when the chef starts tossing shrimp into people's mouths. I highly recommend taking a trip to Westport for this restaurant!
