This is a terrific way to spend a good-weather day. Main street is a couple of miles long, with plenty of small shops, good restaurants with outside seating and plenty of unique places to grab an ice cream or snack. The street is brick pavers, so it might be a challenge for strollers or wheelchairs.

Very cool place to visit. The old buildings and the shops. Really loved walking around that place. It was cold and still Winter technically so not all the shops were open.

We arrived in the Historic District, first thing you see is the brick streets, and about a mile long of buildings on both sides of the street. Plenty of shops to shop and eating places, art shops, museums.

What a treat to travel cobblestone streets, see the keelboat (replica) used by Lewis and Clark, and drink in the ambience of our nation's historic architecture. All that and the charm of seeing those lovely homes restored and the mercantile shops utilizing the smaller homes and business structures along main street for the most charming of retail shops and restaurants.

Very charming town with quick and easy access by Uber for those who are staying in hotels nearby St. Louis airport.
