Great place, walking distance to town, quiet with a great view. Spacious rooms (we had a 1 bed apartment) with little kitchenette an all that we needed. Lovely big bathroom. Clean and safe. Was a little disappointed that the restaurant was closed but thankfully the brewery was open.
Castaway is very well located. easy walking distance to town, very friendly staff and Sarah looked after us well. Such a relaxing place to stay.
Accommodation was very roomy and lovely outlook over the gardens.
The Castaway was perfect for two friends to enjoy the island to the fullest. Close to the main street, shops, and restaurants so that we could walk or drive. The apartment was clean, the staff were friendly and the service excellent. We loved every moment of the holiday.
I was on Norfolk Island for a work-related trip. The location suited me perfectly and meant that I didn't need to hire a car as I could walk to where I needed to be. The room was very comfortable. I wasn't in one of the units with cooking facilities but utilised the small kitchen available to guests.
We stayed four nights at Castaway in a Banyan View Apartment. The apartment was self-catering (as most places on the island seem to be), it was clean, had a comfortable bed, fresh linen, everything we needed in the kitchenette & dining/loungeroom area. However, the stand-out feature for us was how friendly and helpful the managers and staff were. This started from when we were making the booking & continued throughout our stay. The hotel is also walking distance to cafes, clubs & shops. Recommended.
