We were delighted with our visit to this lovely pub whilst en route from the North East to Manchester. The menu is varied but not the usual ridiculously extensive list of Brake Bros ready meals. It is proper chef cooked food and I think for that reason food is served for a window of time in the evening (not sure about lunch - need to check) rather than all day. We arrived just after opening and found a table ok but they became quite busy over the next hour or so - a good sign. We had a lovely authentic steak and ale pie, and a sea bass, both beautifully cooked and presented. I could have licked the plate! We were short of time so had to dash off without pudding but we will definitely visit again.

My family and I went to The Booth Wood Inn a few weeks ago for my birthday. The staff are lovely and polite. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal, I had the chicken Souvlaki which was amazing and beautifully presented....highly recommended.

Two of us went for dinner at 5pm yesterday. The black pudding and chorizo salad on the starter menu was extremely good as too was the duo of lamb that my partner had.The Black Forest cheesecake on the dessert menu was exceptional. The staff were very friendly, helpful and effecient, and the atmosphere very relaxing. Very reasonable prices all added to a great experience and we will definitely be going back.

Six of us had dinner at the Booth Wood Inn and it was excellent.
The menu was varied and the food good
The service was friendly and efficient and patient. I think it was the owner who was behind the bar and served us drinks and took us to our table. He was very friendly and it was really great to see someone who seemed to enjoy helping his customers -- not always the case !!
There was live music which was tasteful and not too loud so it did not hinder conversation.
A happy , enjoyable evening.

We needed a place for lunch off the M62 and this pub came up on TA. It's a lovely pub, friendly hosts and a menu to suit everyone.
We just had a sandwich each, they came with salad, fries and a little pot of couscous. Prices were good. Would definitely call again.
