This is really a pub that has over 1200 board games, from card games to minis. The age range is from kids to adult and children are welcome with parents. The bar is at the back of the room and has a good selection of local brews, hard liquor and some good coffee/lattes. The food is from the Homesteader next door. Unfortunately as good as the atmosphere and staff was the food was very hit and miss. The bison burger was very gamey (I guess that is appropriate) and left a bad taste. The potato wedges were just that, a potato sliced into 4 wedges. The spuds were ok, a bit under-cooked to my taste, but what really ruined them was the cheese sauce on them. It did not taste good to me or the rest of those at the table. It cooled quickly and congealed when it did. Just not a good look or taste. Would have preferred potato skins with shredded cheese, but that is just my preference. The nachos were fine, albeit drizzled with the same cheese, but the salsa helped cut the flavor and gave some spice that was needed and appreciated. The bread-sticks were very good (ordered them without the cheese sauce).
The gaming was great and very relaxed. The selection is huge and the staff is ready to make suggestions or help with explanations as needed. There was a decent crowd, of all ages and genders having a good time. If you are a gamer at all this place is for you!
One suggestion, sell bags of chips, pretzels or popcorn. Could make a mint!
