When we are staying in Troncones, we always try to spend an afternoon at Majahua Palms. It is a beautiful spot and we sit around with drinks and play cards or dice. In the past the food was good, but the highlight was the view. This time, lunch was one of our better meals in the area.
Don't miss out, not only is it a relaxing, beautiful spot but the food is excellent as well.

Stopped by for lunch only, to get here, take the town road north to the end, its paved, turns into a bad rocky, dirt road for a few km.You can only go 5-10 MPH, as the road is really bad. Do not try to drive this at night, there are no lights, and can be quite dangerous. I think the driving issue is understated, its quite far from town, and you do need to have a car to drive there and back. Because of this, we would not try to drive out for dinner, and drive back in the dark. It looks very nice, but this would also prevent us from staying there, as we were seriously considering it.

I've been coming here for 4 years both on personal trips & to lead yoga retreats. The food is constantly good & the service is great. They're very accommodating & good at getting the orders right, even when we ask for variations. The menu contains traditional Mexican food like huevos rancheros, guacamole, tacos, etc. You'll also find fabulous fresh fish, shrimp, and lobster from the local fishermen as well as dishes like spaghetti, hamburgers, and green smoothies. My ladies choose to eat here regularly even though they could easily go to some of the other local restaurants. Off the beaten bath & worth it.

This is a beautifully presented and extremely well kept Hotel with fabulous views of the beach and thundering surf. This is a 'must' for the traveler who wants something completely different with an 'away from it all' atmosphere.
We were warmly welcomed and shown around the whole area. The bungalows are totally independent and offer stunning views. The restaurant is clean and well kept, the bar area is very tidy. The Corona on a hot afternoon was very welcome, we will return and stay a few days.
There are activities that would be very welcome to us and we hope to try Horse riding along the beach and Kayaking on the local lagoon. It all looks super and gets my 'highly recommended'.
