We dropped in hoping to catch the baby turtle release next door and were very lucky as it was, apparently, winding down for the season. Staff are very accommodating at the restaurant while you run off to watch the turtles. Adorable to watch the young children who were thrilled with the baby turtles. My coconut shrimp were good, each served on individual skewers in a large chunk of pineapple. I think the symbiotic relationship between the restaurant and the turtle conservation group is a necessary one....

We went to Roberto's, 1) to watch the turtles being released and 2) for their steaks. We never saw the turtles (we were told lots of conflicting times and dates-they are not released every night) but had a nice dinner on the beach. The steaks were pretty big and delicious. 3 of our party had the NY steaks and all three complained of the overly large amounts of fat on them. I had the skirt steak (I think it was skirt steak-it looked like it) and since it is not a fatty piece of meat, I quite enjoyed it. You can have fries or a baked potato (yes, a baked potato!) with your meal. Wear bug spray. As we found everywhere we went for dinner, plan on spending a couple of hours.

A great visit for our group of 14. The turtle release was a nice bonus and fun as well. We had our large group set up beside the dance floor which was fun when the live band started. The food was good and there was some nice sized steaks for Mexico. Seafood, Mexican... everyone happy with their food. The atmosphere and location made for a fun night... worth the visit.

Had breakfast there twice, and Chritmas dinner. No frills open air restaurant on the beach. Next door is refuge for breeding sea turtles. Every evening at 6 you can observe the 40 day old tortoises released into the ocean!

We visited Robert's on a quest to participate in the turtle conservation project other reviewers have mentioned. We enjoyed drinks while waiting for the turtles to become alert enough to be released into the ocean, and enjoyed the variety of options and prices.
