If you want to get away from the crowds in Sayulita this is a great place to go and relax. The beach is small but pretty.

We were here on Easter week so it was incredibly crowded everywhere! That being said, the los Muertos beach was much less crazy and most of all much cleaner than the Sayulita main beach. It is a bit of a walk (perhaps half a mile) so beware. Less services but people will still bring you cerveza for 30 pesos. Ask for Omar as you arrive and he will get you chairs and an umbrella (250 pesos for the day) and cooks up a mean rice and shrimp dish.... fresh, as well as Margs! Walk here, its worth it.

This beach is so unique as you walk through a beautiful cemetery to get there. The waves are smaller so it is a better swimming beach.

We went to Los Muertos beach while staying in Sayulita. We rented 2 chairs and an umbrella for a few pesos and had beach side service all day with food and drinks. The water is very clear and the waves are not nearly as large as at the main beach making it a lot easier to swim.

A short walk south of Sayulita beach brings you to Playa Los Muertos. Quaint walk through a beautifully kept cemetery and all of a sudden you pop out at this beach. A quieter and more relaxed feel here and some great Spanish tunes coming from the patrons beside us added to the atmosphere of the beach. Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon.
