Unfortunately our stay as Agua Azul was not the best. Many details should have been handled prior to our arrival. One room smells badly of mold and permanently has a dehumidifier for that room (it should be used more often than the guests stay). Pool wasnt cleaned and was very scummy. It was chlorinated during our stay (making it unusuable for a day) which helped the clarity after it was filtered. Remotes with bad batteries, an adundance of keys for various locks around the house, to water running out mid stay for the night, etc - ironically a few of the house guest had food poisoning that night from the wedding dinner! It got sixty people sick. Doh! Bad, long, night for them considering no running water. We mentioned the water that following day and the response we received stated something to the effect that we had numerous noise calls (after the wedding with 8 people having drinks late night around the pool) so dont complain about the water. Yes were had been drinking and were far from loud though im sure we had a few moments. Our safe went bad. It had been worked on by a thief and stopped working apparently. Needed replacement. The safe repair man said it looked like it happened during our stay. Either way, we had to deal with him twice and the replacement quickly ran out of batteries. We all had wifi issues and though not a big deal there were many small things with this house that should have been handled prior to our arrival. THe house has the potential to be very cool, and it appears other guests were fortunate to not have such problems. The master bedroom and shower were great. The kitchen was comfortable as well (expect mouse droppings). There were some there the afternoon we arrived. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and to town. Having to deal with all the minor issues and employees coming over to fix things nearly everyday (all things that should have gone through the once over prior to our arrival) we asked for some minor compensation in return. Deaf ears and denied. We were the early season iron out for this house. This lady's true colors were shown are not there for the guest in my opinion. We were quite polite in our emails to manager during our stay and received less than considerate responses.... in my opinion. Perhaps i have a more discerning taste in customer service. Overall the house could be a consistent winner when managed consistently.
