Peaceful location in beautiful setting

Fantastic holiday from start to finish ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Beautiful villas with stunning views. The complex is spotlessly clean and very friendly and helpful staff on hand if you need anything.
We arrived early hours of the morning as our flight was delayed (and a complete hassle at car hire place in Faro 😫). We were greeted by Mario who was a welcome friendly face and made sure we had all the info needed.
Pool area was lovely and clean with attentive staff at pool bar to keep us in drinks and snacks. Warning though… pool was freezing!!! But once in it was quite pleasant.
We hadn’t brought any inflatables but managed to get some from reception (that people had left behind, which we passed onto other families when we left).
Villa was well equipped with soap / shower gel etc in all bathrooms. Pool towels also provided and could be changed every day. Intermarche supermarket around a 5 min drive was well stocked and we bought extra pods for coffee machine and dishwasher tablets (only two provided)
Lots of lovely restaurants in main town if you don’t want to cook (although villa has everything you need if on a budget)
It’s a very steep hill but the hotel provides a buggy service there and back (although I could never get the damn phone number to work so we ended up walking 🫣)
All in all it was one of the best holidays we have had. Very quiet and relaxing. Will definitely be back again

Salema is a quiet family resort with some excellent restaurants. The Nau is built in a very steep hill with lots of steps so it won't suit all clients. Grounds and walkways are clean and well maintained. Staff were pleasant and always ready to help. Villas are spacious, we had a 2 bedroom villa, villa views of the sea, cleaners/maids visit daily. Our villa was a little tired in places with a broken draw in the tv unit, poorly equipped kitchen, damaged headboard in the twin bedroom, heavily stained toilets and toilet seats. The beds were comfortable, but had a thick rubber protective sheet which not only made for a very hot sweaty sleep, but they were very noisy, like sleeping in a crisp packet. At this end of the market there are more sophisticated solution to mattress protectors and the hotel should seek them out. All of the issues raised could be resolved with a good maintenance team and good house management reporting system and an ownership group willing to invest in a refurbishment program. Would I stay again? Possibly, but not for more than a few nights.

Awesome place, clean and spacious. Located away from hustle of the big tourist towns. Short walk to beach and restaurants. The walk back is pretty steep but totally doable, we walked it every day and never used the shuttle.
Rooms are bright and clean, staff come through every day. Most of the big beaches and attractions are within a 40min drive.

Room tip: Note that Salema is a bit cooler than than the resort towns. It’s a nice break from the heat of the beaches to the east.

Wow what a find. We just did a google search and found this place and took a chance. So glad we did. We had a 2 bed apartment and it was really spacious. Living/dining area, large kitchen, 2 big bedrooms with en suites and our bed was huge! A garden with terrace and a large balcony overlooking the pool. Staff super friendly and a shuttle takes you down and back from the beach as the road up is pretty steep but only a 15 min walk. The pool area was not that busy or noisy although, as you would expect, it was buzzing and lively. No annoying music playing or kids club type stuff thankfully. All very grown up but lots of families. Nice pool bar serving drinks and good food. Salema itself is beautiful and quaint and rustic too. The only slight gripe I have is that the kitchen is not that well equipped so if you have a large family and don't want to eat out every night this could be tricky. Also if you are a coffee addict like me, the apartment is only equipped with one of those Nespresso things which personally i don't like!!

Room tip: There are a couple of small stores in the village, quite basic but big supermarket 10 min drive away.

Very comfortable stay at the beautiful Nau Salema! We stayed in a 3 bedroom sea view and it was perfect for our family. Very spacious, clean and the view was absolutely breathtaking!! Every staff member we encountered were professional, helpful and VERY pleasant. Shuttles to and from the beach were great. The village of Salema is something out of a movie. So serene, relaxing and picturesque. We will most definitely return!

Room tip: Definitely get the sea view!

Worst experience at the checkin ever! They make you sign a waver to let them withdraw up to 5000 euros in case they arbitrary decide that you damaged something in the appartment. But there s no photos, no document of the reception of the accomodation with the state of things. You just have to wait and hope that they don t abusively decide to charge you of something random at the end of your stay. Nowhere in the world has something like this happened to us. I would not recommend this resort to anyone, the stress and abuse is not worth it.
