This is not a touristy place with lots of shops or night life which is what we didnt want. The Apartment we chose had a sea view and it was a sea view. The apartment was large clean ,large TV in the upstairs part, and a good kitchen area with dish washer, washer, fridge freezer, micro wave, oven, ironing facilities, balcony, roof terrace, in other words everything you needed, all the cooking utensils you neede to make basic food though a few elements missing like jugs and chopping boards. This is quite a big new complex and a proportion is time share from what I can gather, you could park your car right outside your front door.Talking of which you definitely need a car if you don’t want to just lie on a beach. The small village at the bottom of the hill has several good restaurants and a wide expanse of unspoilt beach ranked by some survey as no 15 in the world of hidden away beaches. The coast line is unspoilt with villages untouched by time unlike the more common towns on Alberfuria.Next beach along from Salema is a small cove totally untouched apart from surfers who obviously love the place. So if you want night life ,noise, hustle and bustle, this is not the place for you, if you want peace and quiet then it’s just the job, In saying all that this is the last week in Feb so what the summer would be like I do not know.

Absolutely beautiful, gorgeous apartments. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a great holiday. With close connections to local villages we stayed in burgau And Lagos ! We found the village to still be busy for January with good options to eat and we even had a few beach days !

Clean, spacious and well appointed.
Beautiful and quiet area, close to the beach. You will need a car as it is in a remote region of the Algarve. It is an apartment style, not a hotel, so towels are not refreshed every day, but there is a washer/dryer in the apartment.
We really appreciated the benefits of the apartment style living. The full size kitchen, the living room, 2 full bathrooms with shower and a powder room on the main floor. The living space is on 2 floors with the 2 bedrooms with bathrooms in the basement, kitchen and living room on main floor. The basement opens up to a lovely yard in the back.
The natural beautiful views of the ocean from the villa was spectacular especially for the morning sunrise. There is a lot of outside living spaces to enjoy, from a patio on the lower level, a balcony off the living room on the main floor, and the roof top terrace where you can enjoy the best view possible of the sunrise… What a treat!
Definitely a place to go back again and again.

Our family enjoyed the most wonderful holiday here last August. We didn't arrive until almost 23:00 and we were all cranky and hungry from travel. The front desk found us a pizzeria that was still open, called on our behalf, picked up the food and delivered it to our villa. Our villa was spacious and beautiful inside and looked to be a fairly new build. We had a spot that looked over the pool, which was convenient, but there were others that looked over the beach that probably had beautiful views. The beach is very close to this property is absolutely stunning, quiet and serene. There was a shuttle service from the village to the beach and back every hour (although it's not a far walk, its pretty much straight uphill the entire way). Down by the beach there were several restaurants, which were not too expensive but totally delicious. However, the first pizzeria place became our staple and we had it almost every day. Our kids say this is their favourite holiday spot and we plan to return again in 2018!

Room Tip: All rooms are spacious, but the beach view rooms are quieter as they are away from the pool.

We walked on the beach. Visited the few shops. Had a drink at the hotel bar. Very relaxing day. The weather is apparently always beautiful. We walked around the village as well, and truly got a feel for the life in this little beach town. We visited in October and the weather was still very pleasant. I am sure this place is super crowded during the summer months.
