The New Jewish Theater does a great job in its small black box theater. Productions are affordable, professional, minimally, but smartly staged, with good acting and well studied characters. I'd say that generally NJT caters to an older Jewish theater-goer with its emphasis on plays of a traditional nature, i.e. nothing avant garde or contemporary, to my knowledge. A good addition to the St. Louis theater community.
