A great place to visit. Good views of the river from the balcony. The food, drinks and service were all first class.

Good menu , great location , friendly staff and brilliant food ....what more do you need ....just off the highway ....handy if going North or coming South .... highly recommended.

A friend and I had lunch and shared the seafood platter and house bubbles. We had their late lunch setting of 2pm and unfortunately had to wait an hour for the food to arrive. All of the seafood was delicious and despite our hunger we were unable to finish it all. A generous serve but not inexpensive. Good distance between fellow diners (ala Covid) and our table for two meant we could converse easily. We live fairly locally so will return as we want to support all of our local businesses.

We have been going to the Mooney Mooney Club for at least 10 years or so mainly to meet friends from Sydney as we live at Lake Macquarie. This is a club mind you nothing special but after a visit to the south coast of NSW it made us think about the prices this club was charging $44.00 a dozen for oysters natural and $46.00 for Oysters Kilpatrick at Greenwell Point on the south coast we paid $20.00 and $23.00 respectively a dozen. Their Seafood platter was $185.00 compared to Noah's on the Beach at Newcastle's $99.00. The quality was not there and it's certainly our last visit. I'm 74 and the oysters we had down south were the best I'd tasted in my life.

Despite probably everyone dining here on that Tuesday arvo, they still managed to squeeze us in withing the Covid-19 regulations, bringing an extra table out of nowhere. Good, hearty pub food.
