Unless the weather is dreadful ask for a verandah table when you book! The view is spectacular!

Food and service is excellent, friendly staff, and prices that reflect excellent value all combine to make this one of my favourite lunch venues in Australia.

Although some distance from Sydney, it is only about an hours drive on the freeway to the turn-off to Mooney Mooney; and an interesting drive! Go in a group and make sure you have a designated driver!

I only go for lunch, weekdays and not during school holidays, it is hard to get a booking on weekends and holidays!

Have been a few times now and liked it so much I joined. Great sitting out on the deck watching the world go by. Friendly staff and great food for a club. Did the mother's day breakfast as well and was great value for money. Make sure you book on the weekend as it is always busy.

First tip is to make a booking!!! You can always tell a great food establishment by how busy it is. Every time I have dined at this club it is full and has a real buzz about it so plan ahead and book on the deck,great water views but the food is why we come, in a word consistent.I bring clients here and so far everyone of them can't believe this is a club. I recommend you have the chefs daily specials,last Sunday lunch we dined on slow roasted veal rib an cummin carrot purée with exotic mushroom jus,and sesame crusted choko $26.90,and barramundi fillet on tahini and avocado purée with quinoa and salad leaves from the kitchen garden and shaved asparagus $26.90. These aren't club prices but they aren't restaurant prices either, for dessert the in house pavlova is to die for. This club sets the standard for other clubs

We stopped at this club on the way home from a weekend away cause my husband had heard it advertised on the local radio. It was 11:45 on a Sunday and although most tables were empty, we were told the restaurant was fully booked. Full menu was available to the tables outside the restaurant so we sat down and ordered our meal. We shared a pizza and a seafood basket.
The basket was very average, which was a surprise since it was priced at a whopping $33. There was 2 prawns battered heads and all and a small amount of calamari and fish, again not deserving of the price tag. It was sitting on a bed of undercooked chips. What a dissapointing effort. And surprisingly, that was not the worst part of the meal. The pizza base was so soggy that I could have sworn it was wet. The ingredients were thrown on top willy-nilly as if someone had 30 seconds to assemble it. We did not eat the pizza. Nor we had an opportunity to report back on the meal as nobody came to clear the plates despite it being obvious that we were not eating it. I feel sad to say that the pizza were served that day was the worst we have ever had. And also to say that were will never stop there again. Such a nice spot, such poor standards.

I had organised this visit as a special luncheon for an overseas couple and my wife. We visited the Club Restaurant on several prior occasions and the overall rating during those visits was exceptional. However at this visit the service by two of the attending staff was appalling and two other staff was very good. You just do not lean across the table to serve food. The food, Fisherman's Baskets, was poor . The chips were soggy, the beer battered Barramundi was dry and the batter certainly was not beer batter. Overall the batter was extremely oily. We were extremely disappointed, seeing our previous experiences were absolutely fantastic. We do hope that our experience can encourage the manager of the restaurant to have a close look at the operations. It is hoped that our bad experience has been the exception rather than the rule.
We will certainly attend the restaurant in future, based on the experiences prior to our last visit.
