Had a short but very nice stay here last night. The farmhouse is rustic and very comfortable and surrounded by well kept lawn and gardens. After a long drive, a wine in front of the log fire was a great way to finish our day- or so we thought. Our dinner that was served up by our hosts was faultless. Catherine and John were very friendly and it was lovely sharing their story with us. Had another great meal the next morning which included lots of delicacies homemade by Cath. Would highly recommend.

From the time we pulled into the driveway we loved the look of the old farmhouse...Cathy and John are amazing hosts and we were so glad we ordered the 3 course home cooked meal for dinner! It was outstanding ...all home grown including the meat....photos attached. Our rooms were spacious with comfy beds and pillows, covered with stunning hand made patchwork quilts made by Cathy. The hand basins were in the bedrooms and we shared a joined ensuite shower and toilet. The shower had great water pressure which is a plus and the wifi is strong. This working farm has a large chook pen apart from their cattle herd and a gorgeous black cat called Whitby. It also has 2 runways on the property which means you can arrive by small plane which is a unique feature! John cooked an amazing breakfast ...again all home grown...including his own sausages which were very tasty ( more photos attached). Lots of amazing old antique silver kitchenware and wooden furnishings including a cedar commode chair. We would highly recommend Sharron Farm stay for couples and families.

Room tip: King bed room at the front of the house

Cathy and John are wonderful hosts. A lovely room in a wonderful old house set in a beautiful garden. Comfortable bed and good shower!! Dinner was excellent and good value - don't go into town - stay and enjoy Cathy's lovely food, John and Cathy's hospitality and their wonderful conversation. Highly recommended for a first rate B&B experience. Thankyou Cathy and John.

What an incredible experience!! Our time at Sharron Park Farmstay was nothing short of amazing. We had a comfy, spacious and tidy room with ensuite and fireplace to keep us warm. The property and gardens were just gorgeous. John and Cathy were generous and lovely to talk to. They made us a delicious breakfast of 2 courses, complete with antique silverware. John took us on a tour of the farm (on the back of the ute!), where we were able to see baby calfs and their mummas. We also saw some other incredible things in John's workshops (But I won't spoil that for you). If you want a true farm experience with the added comfort of a hotel, then look no further - Sharron Park Farmstay is perfect for you.

We stayed 2 nights with Cathy and John on our road trip through New England. We received a warm welcome from the start, arriving after a long drive to a delicious three course home cooked dinner - celery soup, roast lamb and lemon delicious. Breakfast the next day was equally good with eggs, honey and stewed rhubarb from the farm, and homemade preserves.

The rooms were cozy and comfortable with a log fire in the larger bedroom. The property is a working farm with a herd of cows and 60 chickens - my daughter had fun collecting eggs each morning with Cathy - and some friendly working dogs. Weyland was particularly sociable and would go for walks with us in the morning.

The property is only 15 minutes from Glen Innes, where we visited the Australian Standing Stones and went sapphire fossicking. It’s also a good base from which to explore Ben Lomond, Walcha, Waterfall Way, Inverell and Tenterfield.

Cathy and John, thanks for your warm country hospitality, we were sad to leave!
