We arrived before check-in time due to earlier than planned ferry crossing and were made to feel very welcome while the Caravan was having the finishing touches Jean Claude sat with us and offered drinks and nibbles while talking us through the local area and places to visit. We were also offered bread and eggs as we had arrived on a national holiday and found France closed and unable to shop as planned, a generously stocked fridge Milk eggs butter beer as well as coffee tea cookies and pasta also helped with this.
The Caravan itself was all we hoped and more, the pictures we saw when booking don't do the bathroom size justice at 6ft 5 I was a bit concerned but there was no need and the full size shower was great at the end of long warm days exploring. The Kitchen was adequate and well stocked with all you need to prepare meals for your stay. The double bed was comfi if a little tricky (but fun) to get into.
The facilities on site were fantastic wifi BBQ table tennis darts Basket ball and bikes all available and set in beautiful gardens.
The location is tranquil and rural and a car is a must but is in easy reach of many places to visit local (many WW1 sites & Cemiteries, Arras, Amiens) and further afield, we visited Paris (55 mins on train from Arras) Bruges 1 1/2 drive and we even had a day at the beach.
We found plenty of supermarkets in the area but not sure if there was one within walking distance but to be fair we never looked.
Overall we loved the location of this property and the friendly service and of course the fresh breads left every morning on our veranda, the Caravan can get a bit warm during the day and was a shame we only found a fan on our last day but this was a minor point and didn't affect our stay one bit for what is a great value for money holiday.
