Description: We are very fortunate to have had a long standing business in the Branson Missouri area. We were originally called Wasabi’s but changed that name a few years ago. You can still find info about both online but we are very happy to have had the same owner, Billy Whang as chief proprietor and head sushi chef. Most everyday you can find Billy doing what he loves at his sushi station at Wakyoto’s.Lunch and Dinner services are everyday (closed select Mondays throughout the winter months). But this restaurant serves both the tourism client and the local residents so business is always steady with lots of great fresh fish and lunch and dinner items.Wakyoto is a “Local” spot and many of the residents have their own chop sticks lining the walls of the interior. Don’t be discouraged by this as many tourist end up moving to the area and we’re always happy to welcome a NEW local.

Our family stopped here for sushi on our trip to Branson last week. With 4 kids from age 8-13 it’s not always a success when we have sushi. We ordered 5 different rolls and an ahi tower. Not one single bite was left! Success!! Because we ordered a lot they brought us free miso soup while we waited for the sushi rolls. The ahi tower was my favorite! We would definitely return again!

This place is such a gem right in the middle of the strip. Warm welcome, tasty apetizer and great fresh sushi. Loved it!
Especially loved that they had a menu with photos of the sushi rolls so you knew what you ordered. Thanks!

I can here with my family last night and had the worst experience that I've ever had and that is saying a lot. When we arrived, we requested a large table, since we had six people. The manager said she couldn't seat is in one unless we had nine people. She seated us in the back corner, in a booth for four and added a small table. This was very cramped and hard to get in and out of. We ordered and asked very specific questions about the two box dinners that we were ordering. When the food arrived, my sister-in-law asked for some yum-yum sauce and we had to listen to her argue with us telling us that we didn't need any. She didn't order our boxes correctly and charged us an extra $30. I tried to explain again that our order was incorrect. We didn't get what we ordered. She insulted us and insinuated that we were trying to cheat her for ten minutes. After twenty minutes of arguing very loudly and totally ruining our evening, she finally correctly the ticket. After a few inquiries to locally, apparently this is very common.

This place had everything you want from a Japanese restaurant (good food, good service, good cleanliness) and more with the small but impactful touches they left on everything. When my husband ordered a sushi roll it was presented with a fresh rose petal and the wasabi was pushed out of an icing tube which was a sophisticated presentation. The ambiance is perfectly romantic. We will be coming back!

Food is good and service is very prompt. Enjoyed the miso soup and boxed lunch. Sample appetizer is good.
