My husband and I had heard a lot of Branson hype about SIX, so we expected more than we had with other shows. What we found were six brothers who delivered a ridiculously exhausting a cappella performance complete with full instrumentation (all provided vocally) including most music genres. The humor was more about brothers being brothers and less about sight gags (which was a relief!) Even the announcer delivered funny directions which related to every generation!!
Standout moments were: Wipe Out, Shenandoah, Louis Armstrong (“What a Wonderful World”) and other favorites sure to please any audience member.
*A favorite (and unexpected) moment happened while Kevin was in the middle of delivering intermission directions. During the announcements, the sound guy played “Sweet Caroline” over the PA system. Kevin couldn’t help but give in to the audience’s desire to sing “Sweet Caroline” ... complete with the “Ba ba ba’s” as appropriate!! He even lead the audience in a vocal serenade of the tune ... REALLY FUN!!
We didn’t realize that these brothers debuted on The Donny and Maria (Osmond) Show. They are six of ten brothers born into the family. A house full of boys must have been a challenging blessing for the parents!! Their proverbial resume(s) are astounding!! They are legit!!
After the show, we got to meet all six brothers and were pleased at how genuine these seasoned pros are. Be sure to catch SIX when in Branson ... And if you can snag seats on the aisle, be sure to sit on the side aisles for an unobstructed and delightful view!!
