We had a lovely week in Dorset. The accommodation was exactly as described and everything we were hoping for. Tucked away in a private driveway, it was peaceful and a short walk straight to a very quiet beach. Would highly recommend to others. The welcome pack was a lovely personal touch and gratefully received especially with 2 children. At the top of the road there was a lovely pub/restaurant called The Manor that served good home cooked food though a little expensive. We would recommend The Clock Inn at Chideock. A family welcome pub with great prices and good food. Charmouth Beach is about a 15 minute drive in the car and we found this to be a fantastic beach for the children, as the stones are much bigger and easier to walk on and when the tide goes out there is sand for them to play on. Plus it's only £3 to park for the day.
West Bay (Broadchurch for the fans) is about a 10 minute drive away from Chesil lodge in the car. £2 to park there for the day too. Beautiful views across the Dorset coastline with a lovely harbour.
Amazing holiday lodge. Was clean and comfortable , had everthing you needed. The owners had left a lovely welcome basket. Was so close to the beach, but had a private garden to relax in with lovely views and two outdoor seating areas. Lots of places to visit. Would definitely recommend.
This is a real find, a lovely little spot by the sea, fully equipped for all your needs and practically set out. Lovely friendly, welcoming owner. Huge thanks!
