Nice park, close to Adelaide

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 9 Sept 2019
Brown Hill Creek is a quiet park situated in a lovely, tree filled valley. Handy to the city, buses run frequently, an easy walk to Mitcham shopping centre. The park is well managed, amenities are good, and management is helpful and pleasant. We have stayed a number of times, always with complete satisfaction. Thank you.

Great location, with bushwalks and bike trails at your doorstep. Caravan sites are easy to access and the amenities were spotlessly clean and although adequate but could do with an upgrade. Lighting in the middle camp kitchen also needs an upgrade. The Manager and staff very friendly and helpful. We loved the wildlife on our doorstep.

The park is in a beautiful setting, and at present with the bit of rain and autumn the colours are amazing. We were on an ensuite powered site. The ensuite was in need of a lot of maintenance and TLC. Another ensuite where a bench would not go astray, nowhere at all to place clothes in the ensuite, not even hooks. The entry step, was wonky, and did not feel safe under foot, just waiting for an accident to happen. The shower curtain, was too short, and was sucked in when showering, causing water to go all over the floor and making showering a pain. You can get a cable from the office for TV reception, but even with this, the reception breaks up a lot.

Room tip: see if you can inspect the ensuite before accepting the first one, maybe some are better than others

Promising lots but not quite delivering, nevertheless this camping & caravan park is really close to the Adelaide action. Facilities and cabins badly need renovations & the pool was out of service. Tricky to get to but situated in a quiet valley. But if you like native birds you'll see and hear them all here.

We stayed here for a week and a bit with our caravan recently
The Tourist Park is in a quiet bush setting and also close to public transport to get around the environs of Adelaide
The park staff are welcoming and very helpful
Highly recommended

So close to the city but a true gem in a fantastic setting. Some cabins have a spacious deck to capture pretty views of the trees lining the creek .. great for breakfast or morning coffee. Good ensuites and everything you need ; the parks for Van's nearby and are lawned. A lovely pool makes for a great stay for school hols or whenever. Nicely run.
