After a 4 night stay here, I have to say I was mostly satisfied. I only saw one desk clerk on duty the entire time, but he was very friendly and accommodating. The outside could use some sprucing up, but the room was clean and tidy, without the musty smell usually found in older hotels. The pillows were fluffy, the bedding comfortable, the carpet clean. The towels were on the thin side but not threadbare. The tub and its fixtures could use replacing, as the hot water knob became stuck and the variable-position shower head leaked horribly when you changed the setting. But, the tile, tub, toilet, floor and sink were all very clean.
I only made it down for the free breakfast once, but it appeared to be on par with other hotels in the price range. It included fresh juices, coffee, pastries and cereal. It also had a micro-fridge with yogurt and microwavable foods.
My only complaints are the lack of an elevator and the pool being closed. My suitcase was heavy, and I wanted an upstairs room near the lobby. I almost didn't make it up or down the stairs with my suitcase. Also, based on the other reviews, the pool has been unavailable for quite some time. This was rather disappointing, as my daughter was looking forward to swimming.More
