“A blliant pace in which to stay”
Reviewed 15 October 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We travelled to Cornwall in two cars as there were seven of us ranging in age from 69 down to 8. The accommodation was perfect, including a futon provided in the sitting room for the 16 year old who unexpectedly joined us.
The holiday was a delight as the nearby beaches were perfect for the younger members of the family to swim and surf, while the older ones were able to do some sightseeing.
'Skylark' was fully equipped to a high standard and extremely comfortable, fulfilling all of our needs. The owners, who live in the farmhouse, were most welcoming and the Victoria sponge cake left for us in the fridge was a delicious surprise. Also the views over St. Ives Bay were stunning.

“Perfect cosy cottage for a family holiday”
Reviewed 4 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Skylark is a delight - comfortable, cosy, warm and very welcoming. Freshly baked Victoria sponge with cream filling greeted us on arrival and lovely Cornish shortbread to send us on our way! Colin and his son were most hospitable without being intrusive and being on a working farm with lots of horses made it a very lovely rural retreat. The views are wonderful - over the sea to St Ives - as are the spectacular night skies. The cottage is in a great location - very close to Gwithian, Godrevy and eastwards up the coast to Portreath plus very handy for the local shops (and chippie!) at Hayle. The beds were comfortable, underfloor heating made it very snug and the shower fabulous. A nice bit of lawn to the rear was a great place for the children to kick a ball around too.

In my opinion a very good value holiday cottage for a family who like to be in a rural environment. We will definitely be returning.
