Basic simple rooms. Slamming doors heard from 9:20- 1:15am can hear water run from rooms next door, can clearly hear next rooms talk, & clearly hear tons of other noises from the other rooms!!! Beds are very hard & make a ton of noise just from rolling over! For the price of $127 will NOT be going back!

Stayed: October 2017

We stayed there in part because of the reviews I read on Trip Advisor and the price. There are not a lot of choices unless you want to spend a ton of money along the US shore of Lake Superior.

The room was clean but the bed was tired. They took our pet so that was nice and the staff was friendly. It was a bit overpriced for what it was but not for where it was. So I would rate it a good value.

This is the place your parents or grandparents may have stayed. Retro styling with clean interiors. Friendly staff. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, watering holes and the famous Split Rock Lighthouse. We had a breezy room on the north side so no a/c required!

Room Tip: None of the rooms have Lake Superior views, so one is as good as another.

this is a pretty small motel without air conditioning, but we never needed it and they do supply your room with a couple of fans, and this is a pet friendly motel. The actual downtown area is off the highway but I'm sure alot of people never even know this and think the drive on highway 61 is pretty much all there is, lots of attractions close by and plenty of places to eat

Room Tip: pet friendly

We stayed here the last day of March 2017, when the weather was still a bit chilly. The room was nicely heated, the beds (there were two, with a wall between them in Room 8 where we were) were comfortable and it was quiet with very faint noise from the highway out front. The room was not fancy by any means and was simple with just the basics. Shower stall only (no tub) and the drain was quite rusty but the shower itself was not dirty.

Very friendly staff and a reasonable price if you are making a quick stop through the area. At breakfast time there is only coffee available but some nice eateries within walking and driving distance.

Room Tip: Room 8, the furthest one from the road, is the quietest.
