“A great place with plenty of room and cozy accommodations”

We booked this as part of my sister visiting from out of town though we are from Duluth. We needed a place to fit a few families, have access to the beautiful trails, food and the lake. This was a great place with lots of extras to let you be comfortable. It isn't deep woods so be prepared to have a neighbor porch light shine in on a late night fire or the hum of traffic from the highway. It's the reason I gave it 4 stars - I felt like we had to be really quiet with the close quarters to neighbors. On the bright side, the crashing of the waves will drown out most noise. I was worried that the lower price would mean lower quality, but I was not disappointed.

“Beautiful setting....”
Reviewed 19 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had a great time. The cabin was spacious for the 7 of us. The property sits right on Lake superior which was beautiful to watch the sunrise in the mornings. Our family enjoyed the fire pit in the evening and hiking and kayaking during the day. The location was great as well just under an hour from Duluth. The owner was great! We definitely would stay again!!!

“We loved it!”
Reviewed 31 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We had a wonderful time at Lupine Lodge! It is the perfect getaway for a family. Very private and beautiful. Right on the lake and so much to do! I would recommend this rental to anyone. Also safe for little kids to run around, my 3 year old granddaughter had a ball & cried when it was time to leave.
For what you get the price is very reasonable and Rick is very helpful and quick to respond if you have a question.
We all agreed that we should add an extra day & stay there again next year.

“Beautiful setting, helpful, friendly owner, great relaxing stay!”
Reviewed 10 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We met Rick the owner as we drove in. He was helpful and friendly. He was able to accommodate our request to stay on short notice. The lodge was stocked with everything we needed. The setting is beautiful! The garden was in full bloom and we enjoyed the garden and the lake from the lakeside windows. We enjoyed sitting by the lake in the evening and on the patio for breakfast in the morning. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were cabin cozy. It feels like being at home at the lake.
I enjoyed having a well stocked kitchen. I easily found everything I needed.
My 2 year old grandson was happy with the toy selection.
I would recommend this property for summer stay for seniors and people with disabilities. My husband is disabled, walks with a cane, and he was very comfortable getting around.

“An awesome place to get away from it all”
Reviewed 8 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

This was the most wonderful place for our family to vacation. The views alone were breath taking. You can literally see Lake Superior from every room. I came up here with my husband and 4 kids (ages 5-11) and we had the most relaxing time. Everything you could ever need is in the house for your use. It made traveling with my family so much easier than staying in a hotel. I loved all of the lighthouse décor. We enjoyed a bonfire down by the water, spent our mornings outside enjoying the views. Everything is in decent proximity that you would want to see. The one thing I enjoyed most was not having internet connection. It was a time to just unplug from the craziness, bond with family over board games, talking. It's a great place and I cannot wait to take my family there again!
