The restaurant has continued to improve each time we visit. Our group was quite happy with the freshness and quality of the food, the friendly and efficient service and the comfortable environment on a 40C day. The menus continually change but we cannot fault the salads, seafood and lamb dishes. We would be quite happy to return.

The Pot is a small, narrow, street level restaurant tucked away amongst all the other eateries on King William Rd. The menu changes regularly so what you see on the website is not likely to be exactly the menu you get on your visit. We began with the handmade paratha bread and spiced butter. The paratha was delicate, light, flaky and delicious. The curry spices blended into the butter added all those wonderful Indian tones you look for when eating paratha with a curry.

For entree my companions chose the pork gyoza served in a rich chicken broth. It was a large serve for an entree with 5 good sized dumplings per serve and very enjoyable to eat. I chose the baked eggplant served with a rich tomato passata, crunchy raw almonds and cherry tomatoes. It was delicious.

For mains we all chose the wagyu steak served with radish and mushroom. YUM!!! Melted in your mouth, beautifully cooked to medium rare and perfectly seasoned. It was a delight.

For dessert we chose the choc mint vieneta which was nice and refreshing especially since it was a very hot night.

Staff were excellent. Meals were served in good time even though the restaurant was full and we were able to enjoy a great conversation together over a very good meal in pleasant surrounds without too much ambient noise. I highly recommend The Pot by Emma McCaskill for date nights or small gatherings of friends.

The Pot is a very good example of exquisite products cooked exceptionally well. The restaurant offers a small but well diverse menu style, portion sizes are good and well appropriate. The style of food is very mod Aust with touches of Europe.
The quality of the produce is excellent and well treated. The staff in FOH are excellent, very professional and highly engaging at the right times.
The wine list is very interesting and not over the top in pretentious factor. Overall we enjoyed a brilliant dinner, well paced with the highlight being the Mayura Waygu Rump.
Just delish!
Definitely returning!

Date night at The Pot was simply exquisite!!! The welcome was warm & friendly, the drink selection highly appropriate, but the highlight was the food!!! Amazing selection of top class, beautifully cooked & presented, with the most amazing flavours the perfectly complimented each other. Highly recommend.
