Such a stunning place to visit. Spent 4 days there. Didn't want to go home. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely resort. Good facilities. Good food. Nice little giftshop. Fun day and night activities for kids and adults alike. We hired a cabin. Nice and clean. Good aircon. Soooo close to the beach. Literally just a few steps onto the beach. STUNNING beaches. Beautiful to walk along. So much to explore. The island to explore at low tide was beautiful. Even saw a sea turtle! Good fishing. My man was very happy to relax and fish all day. The walking tracks were an effort at times. Quite uphill. But ever so worth it! Stunning views from the lookout. And my favourite part was the wildlife. In particular the resident kangaroos and wallabies on the beach at dawn... And walking around the resort during the day. Such a great photo opportunity to get up close and personal with the Roos. I cannot recommend this place enough. We will be back for sure.

Very warm welcome including invite to join the quiz Weekly fish & chips and outdoor movies are a great idea. Ample size pitch. Great looking pool. Clean amenities. Waking up at sunrise to see the kangaroos and wallabies on the beach was such a wonderful experience. A brilliant $37 for a motor home at a powered site.

An absolutely amazing experience I will remember for a lifetime.
Although we didn't stay at the resort - we popped down to experience a sun rise with the wallabies and kangaroos on the beach > “Kapow” – a delayed echo – whales breaching and plunging into the ocean in the distance! Massive whales - 5 of them? What a magical thing – we'll be back again and again and again – loved it!

Was disappointing to read some negative reviews on this site related to this experience. The Cape Hillsborough Nature Tourist Park crew are, friendly, and welcoming, ‘no-nonsense’ people – the real deal. They volunteer their time to assist create experiences like this, down on the beach in the National Park, for visitors from all over the world. It may not be for some, but it’s ‘special’ for so many.

Good on you Ben and Renae and team – you do a wonderful job and your passion and commitment to your business, to your clients, and event to folk who aren’t your clients but just want a ‘special experience’ – thank you!

Room Tip: Sorry - no photos - was too taken with actually experiencing the wildlife - no time to take snaps :)

We stayed here twice on our trip up North. Both times we stayed in the Terrace Huts. The room was kept fairly clean and came stocked with personal hygiene products (mini soaps, sanitary bags). However, on the first visit the floor seemed like it had not been mopped prior to our arrival, as even after showering our feet became dirty and black. On the second stay the water suddenly cut off mid-shower while my friend had shampoo in his hair...not a good situation (glad it wasn't me). Shortly after (10 minutes later), the water came back on in the room. Just a heads up, we believe that one of the two hot plates on the stovetop does not work. The room itself is a little outdated, but still comfortable and we were able to do everything we wanted in the kitchenette etc.

Reasonably priced. Just a note, the single car space is probably not the best for larger cars as it is quite a tight squeeze. The room had a large sign that stated you would receive a cleaning fee of $70 for unwashed dishes and not removing rubbish. $70 for not emptying a one-night-stay rubbish bin seems ridiculous, although we were happy to do this. The only problem here was that the bins were a little far away from the room.

The thing we loved about the park is the location! It's truly unique and has such a remote feel about it. This may be because we had no reception or internet. I found it hard to disconnect from technology however my friend loved it. If you are like me, you can purchase internet at the park. We didn't as it is VERY expensive. My advise is enjoy your time without technology and take in the surrounds. Seeing the kangaroos at sunrise is a really special aspect of this park. We did this on our first stay and did not regret the early wake up! There are a number of walking tracks that can be accessed via the park. The layout of the park itself is great, with the pool central to the park. The park has a great initiative with recycling cans (as evidenced around the park).

Overall, worth the detour and would stay again. If you are looking for some R&R and a peaceful stay (unlike some other parks) then this is the park for you! Plus, you often see kangaroos lounging around the park.

Room Tip: For a quiet stay I suggest the Terrace Huts toward the back of the park

We are pleased to hear you had an enjoyable time while staying with us Brooklyn, K. We regret that on this occasion your accommodation expectations were not met. Our housekeeping team take pride in making sure the rooms are clean so we are most disappointed to hear this. Apologies for the water outage as we recently experienced a water leak which council tried to fix as quickly as they could – sincere apologies again. Thank you so much for bringing these issues to our attention we will put these forward to management to be reviewed. We appreciate you taking the time to review us and hope to welcome you back for another relaxing stay soon.
