We planned a short weekend getaway in Minneapolis/St. Paul and looked online for fun educational activities for our 12 year old son. I found information on the street caves online. It looked like a really cool place for my son to learn about prohibition and St.Paul's contribution to the time period. We arrived and waited in a very short line to pay and go inside the caves. Once inside it was somewhat chaotic people standing everywhere and it was unclear what we should do. They broke up the tour groups because of the size. We ended up with a gentleman who talked really fast and made a lot of jokes. When you go through you see a stage that is used now for weddings, a room where a gangster battle took place and then 2 caves. Our guide interjected a lot of "inside jokes" about people from Wisconsin/ Nebraska that I guess are funny if you're from Minnesota or Wisconsin. Being from Pennsylvania we did not feel "in" on the jokes. Was this tour historic yes there was some history of the caves. I expected to be more inside of a dark cave then finished room's with stucco ceilings. Would I pay 8 dollars for 3 adults again probably not
