The Global Market has the best variety of foods I've ever eaten. I always get the Pad Thai because I only visit there twice a year. They also have a Mexican pastry shop that makes a wonderful tres leches cake. Must try.
By recommendations from friends I visit the Global Market. I found it just ok. Food was mediocre and prices high. But then I guess for Minneapolis this is ok. How many Mexican places can one place have?
This is an eclectic, colorful, global array of vendors and foods. Good location, good prices, lively interior. So why only a three rating? Two reasons: haphazard and sloppy maintenance of the food court, and the discontinuation of parking stamps for customers. A little customer service goes a long way. I will still visit, because I am a fan of the global atmosphere, but I hope not to endure inconveniences and a food-splattered floor.
I have been here a couple of times and eaten something different each time, and it's all been amazing. You can't go wrong eating anywhere in here. I was going to list my favorite food stalls but it would just be a list of all the places I've tried, haha!
There's also trinket booths and assorted shops as well as a small "grocery store."
It seems that parking is no longer free for some reason but it's not expensive. We paid $1.75 last time we visited.
Great experience. Loved all the options for food from around the world. Nice small stalls selling items from other countries.
Everyone needs to experience this arena. All different types of food & vendors. Cafeteria style ordering & seating. Just fun to go to.
