Creative menu. Tasteful and fresh. Attentive service. Pleasant ambience. Other than being under an airport landing path and across the street from a fire station.... Decent prices. Phenomenal frozen custard! Save room for the frozen custard. We'll be back.

Try the French Toast made from Bread Pudding. OMG. Mouthgasm. Also, they have delicious Rose on tap. Yes, On tap. Try it

We arrived at Wise Acre Eatery at about 1:15 on a weekday afternoon, and were able to snag a table outside, in the shade. Protected by umbrellas, and surrounded by plants, and seated far back from the street, one could almost forget that this was an urban setting. Our waitress was cheerful and attentive. The restaurant was permeated with the heavenly smell of bacon, and so 3 of us included bacon to our orders. As it turned out the bacon smelled better than it tasted: the fat content was low and the bacon had been cooked so long that the texture was too dry. The restaurant was already out of the dish we had most hoped to try: the burger with brie. The eggs were fine, but nothing to write home about. The Plato Greens salad was tasteless, barely any dressing and some of the greens were past their prime. The Kale Caesar was more flavorful than the Plato salad. With its convenient location to The Russian Museum of Art, it's a pity that Wise Acre Eatery isn't a better choice, especially given the dearth of places to eat within walking distance of the museum.

Went with friends for lunch. Ordered a beer and the beer hummus pretty quickly on arrival. The beer took. 10 to 15 minutes and the hummus took over twenty. Then ordered two black bean burgers and one bowl of tomato fennel soup of the day. Those were delivered over a half hour later. Food quality is good. Hummus was very good. Bean burgers are small and rather spicy. Fries are average. And while the soup was good, it was lukewarm. Barely escaped getting three stars.

Worst black bean burger. Super dry. Salad was uninteresting. We were very disappointed and will not return or recommend.
