We decided to eat here to treat ourselves after a project and try it out as we had heard it was fantastic.

The good was good, but I would not say great. It is pricey so come prepared to pay. They may try to up sell you on what you order.

It is expensive to eat here. The food is good, but not great.

4 of us visited for Happy Hour, which we have done several times in the past. The drinks & wine pours are always generous and good. We have usually had pretty good food. On this occasion, each of us ordered the hamburger. We were surprised at the low quality. The bun was stale and the burger dry and tasteless. We aren’t sure why this would happen since PB’s focus is meat...albeit mainly steak. There is really no excuse for dry burgers! (Or stale buns.) The fries, however, were delicious. We sat on the large patio. It is lovely but a little noisy from the traffic, which we didn’t mind. We will give their Happy Hour 1 more try. Hopefully, they will fix their burger problem by then.

We love most of the Parasole restaurants but were unimpressed with Pittsburgh Blue. The food was ok at best. Crab cakes were very bad-lots of breading. Steak sandwich was just okay with only a few pieces of steak and lots of bread. Buffalo shrimp was better. Service at the bar was exceptional. Prices were high making this a very poor value. Lastly, the restrooms are tiny for a large, busy restaurant. Be prepared to stand in line on the weekends.

We had heard so many good things about this place we just had to try it. It was ok but not a 200 dollar meal by any stretch of the imagination. The service however was on point. We got shrimp ceviche and oysters rockerfeller to start both were ok but I have had better preparations for sure. For steaks we had a ribeye and a filet and for the side an adult mac and cheese. So these were all ok but honestly we make better steaks and mac and cheese at home. I don't think I would go back for a special dinner but would go back for happy hour and sandwiches (prime rib dip) at the bar. Btw the corking fee was 25 (up from 15) and the Martinis were actually great.
