Our sandwiches were all amazing!! Our party had the portobello mushroom, Rueben and tuna melt sandwiches, all of which were exceptional. The 4-year old with us loved his pepperoni pizza too. Really cute place, great selection of menu items, good beers. The patio was great and it was fun that there was live music inside in a Sunday afternoon. Loved it!

We've lived in Duluth for over 25 years, and we've been to many bars and restaurants in town. Sir Benedict's is one of our consistent favorites. Even though it's set up like a tavern, it serves better food than the vast majority of restaurants in town. The atmosphere is laid back and friendly. This is a place you can have a nice conversation and if you want, meet new people. And the service is excellent.

The sandwiches are first rate and the soups taste like they are made from scratch. The pizza is good even though the menu is more soup and sandwich. Big, big beer selection. Lots of board games available to play (chess, checkers, trivial pursuit, etc.).Many nights there's music, and often it's good (sometimes it's open mike, but it's not too loud, there are some decent to fine performers, and if someone doesn't suit your fancy, they get 3 songs and then they are off the small stage).

A note about the service. The staff doesn't seem to turn over that much, they know what they are doing, they're friendly, and the owner often is present working away.

This is a great meet up place, it's good for one beer and a sandwich, or if you want, a longer stay. Highly recommended.
