Description: Since 1976 Grandma’s Saloon & Grill has been a casual but lively adventure to the past where value and customer service are at the center of everything we do. You’re surrounded by authentic antiques, collectibles, and an eager staff ready and willing to please. The award winning food includes overstuffed sandwiches and burgers; USDA choice steaks; house specialty pasta and wild rice dishes; appetizers include nationally recognized homemade onion rings, chicken wings, and stuffed mushrooms. It’s an eyeful as well as a mouthful. The legacy of customer satisfaction has been handed down by the Italian immigrant who started it all, “Grandma” Rosa Brochi. Everything she did in her early boarding house business included “100% customer satisfaction,” words that we still live by today. Grandma’s Saloon & Grill is real history, real antiques, real service, and really good food! A dining experience of legendary indulgence. The original Grandma’s Saloon & Grill is located at the foot of the historic Aerial Lift Bridge, at the tip of Lake Superior. Seasonal deck dining and the new rooftop lounge includes this spectacular view.

We went there on a Saturday for early lunch with about 15 in our group. They were very easy to work with and we all got seated quickly, it helped to be before the lunch rush. We all got our food fairly quick and several ordered the wild rice soup, it was fantastic and a small chicken pecan salad that was very good too,

We had not eaten here before and gave it a try. We had to wait quite awhile before being seated but it was a weekend and there was a lot of activity in the bay. Food was good!..Single rings Godfather Loaded, Wild Cranberry Meatloaf and Chix Dippin nuggets. Beer was spendy. Castle Danger was $12.50 for 16oz. Yikes. SErvice was pretty decent, average, but not outstanding. Kind of neat inside with lots of trinkets to buy and candy, candy, candy, which was very good. Rings were very good. We would go back.

We dined at Grandma's on Sunday night with our Grandchildren. Came to Duluth to visit Bentleyville. Thought we would beat the rush and went early, around 4:30. Service was very slow, the server was not friendly. Prices are very expensive for what little you get. Asked about getting a meatball for the kids spaghetti and was told it would be $3! Next visit will not be here as we will check out the many other restaurants on Canal Park.

Okay now. The food is stellar and waaaaay big. Remember that when you see all of it continue to show up. The onion rings are the best we’ve had. The wild rice burger is the best veggie burger we’ve had and the rest of the food was excellent. Our server was super helpful and made the entire experience enjoyable.

We ate lunch here while in Duluth with family. The food wasn’t out of this world but it wasn’t bad. The atmosphere was fun and they had a cute gift shop in the front. For our of towners like us - it was a nice stop for lunch.
