The room was very nice and spacious. It included a kitchenette which normally would be useful for us, but we weren't here long enough to use it. Even though we were right next to the highway and planes from the airport flew right over the hotel, the rooms were very quiet. The breakfast was also good and the location (just a couple blocks from the Mall of America) is great. The beds were fairly comfortable though they did hit two of my pet peeves... 1) a king sized bed too short for my 6'3 self, 2) super soft pillows with no support.
Still, the only reason I'm giving it four stars rather than five was the check-in. There was a small group of airline workers ahead of us and some sort of mistake had been made with their reservations. We had to wait quite a while while the front desk staff (a lady and a young man on his first day) tried to straighten out their issues. It was pretty chaotic. I'm usually exhausted by the time I get to a hotel and I just want to get into my room with no fuss.
Still, overall it was a nice place with very reasonable rates. I would certainly give them another chance when I'm back in the area.More
