There are other great delis in the Ann arbor area, but Bread Basket remains a favorite. Fair prices for a thick, delicious, fresh sandwich. Great variety.

The Ypsilanti Bread Basket Deli used to be a favorite of ours for years. From the big, meaty, sandwiches on grilled Rye and their house dressing, they were perfect. Plus they weren't too fatty. Now there's a new owner, and new changes. He's a very nice guy, but to us, the Corned Beef is more fatty, and the bread slices too thick. Sandwiches are a delicate balance. People like it the way they like it. And it's not what it used to be. Maybe in time those subtle differences will change. We hope so.

Not impressed. Over priced. Food was not good. No flavor. Corned beef on Reuben was fatty. Place was dirty and smelled like a grease pit. I will not be going back.

We've eaten here often but our last visit was not good. Lobster bisque (and how many delis have that?) was sludgy, lobster-less and obviously scraped from bottom of barrel though it was still lunchtime. Corned beef sandwich was reliable but egg salad had no seasoning unless you count some bleu cheese and french fry bits that fell into it. Also they first said they had no pumpernickel but "found" some, only it was stale. So be careful if you go to ask for fresh ingredients.

Always have to stop when we're in town. In town for football and college visits. Had the usual matzo ball soup and corn beef in pastrami on a onion roll. SO SO GOOD. Cant wait to go back.
