Stayed at Danesfield House for my 1 year anniversary on Sunday. I had a fantastic time and received first class service from the moment I walked in.

Arrived at the reception the lovely gentlemen behind the desk greeted us and congratulated us on our special day, which I thought was a nice touch. Also I was delighted to find out that our room had been upgraded to an executive suite. Room 305 was exquisitely presented with a four-poster bed, sofa and a fantastic view of the hotel grounds.
Food matched the hotel's high standards, with a wide-ranging menu. The Orangery provided us with an outstanding meal for two which we took a good while to decide on due to the choices we had. Despite our indecisiveness the waitress was friendly and of great help.
Breakfast at Danesfield was equally as delicious. we had a choice of continental breakfast or cooked. The continental buffet offered a great selection ranging from croissants, cold meats and cereals to Greek yogurts and fruit. Cooked breakfast was made to order and our full English was served fresh to our table.
Upon the visit we took advantage of the luxurious Spa facilities that Danesfield has to offer. The Pool was clean and warm along side the Jacuzzi that was the ultimate relaxation spot. The steam and sauna rooms were also clean and just as invigorating as the other facilities. The only treatment we had time for was the full body massage which was 50 minutes of pure heaven! Using beautifully scented oils, the excellent masseuses managed to deeply relieve any tense muscles and totally relax our bodies to the point of both of us falling asleep!

This is undoubtedly a five-star hotel and spa with five-star service! I would highly recommend Danesfield and would like to thank its wonderful staff for making our anniversary so special and memorable.

Room Tip: Choose room 305 or any room with views onto the rear of the House.

This is my 1st time at Danesfield house. What can you say the grounds are great.

My wifes and I room was 135, small and in need of some love. Wallpaper stating to come off, note bathroom neeed cleaning. heating was HOT, too hot even for my wife in the room.

There was still things from the last person in there.

Ok if you going to print all over your web site "Michelin Star" please please make the food good. My table of 10 most walk away a little sad with the food. The staff serving was great. 10 out of 10

New Year’s Day Brunch, what a joke over 1hr sitting waiting hoping for food people waiting out side, i was ready to walk out. At this point the staff was a joke "Michelin Star" not.

Would i pay £550 again for one night there mmmmmmmmmmmm NO. whoich is a great shame for the staff and hotel

Was booked in for two days over Xmas 2011 and we decided to leave after one night following such an underwhelming experience. Our small room was noisy (heating system from the 1930s woke us up at 5am it was so loud). Breakfast in room had to be returned twice due to undrinkable attempt at coffee, 'soft-boiled' eggs so raw they looked as if they had not been cooked for longer than a few seconds, toast that never came and missing coffee cups and cutlery for two people! Many of the staff looked exhausted and unhappy and the overall impression was too big to care.

Room Tip: Look for another hotel

We were there for a girly spa weekend. First impression - lovely grounds and beautiful architecture (pity about the scaffolding which was there when we stayed). Staff was attentive - concierge spotted us as we arrived and promptly helped with our luggage. Food was OK - breakfast was better than dinner. We had dinner in the Orangery. Generally the food was tasty but the portions were small. Spa and treatments were amazing. Overall, a very relaxing weekend. Room was a good size and well-heated.

Room Tip: Book spa treatments and reserve dinner at Simmons restaurant well ahead of your stay

WOW - What an absolutely beautiful hotel and grounds. Wonderful opportunity to relax for my fiance's birthday.

Very warm welcome from reception and concierge. The room style was in keeping with the hotel, comfortable sofa, luxurious bathroom with two sinks and jacquizzi bath, lovely little dressing and study area, large fireplace and a gigantic four-poster bed with thick rich tapestry materials. The views across the garden were stunning - What more could you want?

We had a lovely three course dinner in the Orangery and service was impeccable and we then went through to the bar area for coffees to finish of the evening.

On both days we used the spa swmiing pool, jacquizzi, sauna and steam rooms, and there were plenty of beds available. Changing room facilities were 5*, very clean and plenty of robes, slippers and towels freely available.

The Reception rooms, little snugs and snooker room were all very cosy, very well decorated and furnished. The panelled rooms, hallways and chandeliers made you wander what the building must have been like when it was orignally built, plenty of nostalgia and character in all areas, make this hotel a place you want to visit again, and again.

The continental breakfast was by far the best i have EVER had. Lovely fresh orange and pink grapefruit juices, hams, olives and brie with croissiants. Fresh figs, dates, nuts, and berries, Toast, jam and coffee. Plenty of cereals, yoghurts, muffins all on show and of course you can order freshly cooked eggs and bacon etc... should you wish.

Had a lovely walk around the gardens - and this was December and dry!

I picked up some leaflets, offering a spa, and afternoon tea packages and hope to be back soon with my sister and friends.

Well dones Danesfield - Lovely lovely place to stay. x

Room Tip: Room 202 - Executive 4 poster room with splendid views over the garden
