This is a wonderful resort especially for children. Lots of activities for the little darlings. Great volleyball areas and playgrounds Most importantly, the office staff is OVER the top. I was in a bind and spoke with Brian and he went far beyond the call of duty to find us a spot. When we arrived he remembered and is still trying to get us in for one extra night. Love the security they have. You must have a card to get in and out of the resort so cars are just not driving up and down the roads. Would definitely stay here again.

We recently took our grandchildren to Timber Ridge Resort for a camping trip. This was a great place for them with a well maintained, heated swimming pool with kiddy wading pool and a wonderful playground area.

The campsites are not paved and ours didn't have a paved patio but they were fairly level and the pull-thru was easy to get our 34' class A into and out of. It's close enough to town that you can use Timber Ridge as a base for other activities in the Traverse City area. There are various prices depending on amenities you desire and all are reasonable for what is provided. We will be bacl

The Vasa trail system abuts Timber Ridge's own trails, some of which are lighted. TR affords a convenient and comfortable place to base your skiing expedition. As previously mentioned, part of the beauty of venturing forth on the Vasa trail system from Timber Ridge is that you are not immediately faced with a two mile climb. In fact, one can avoid most of the climbing that characterizes the Vasa Trail by utilizing the Special K segment and still have a nice sized loop. There are a couple of hills but nothing a Hoosier flatlander such as myself can't survive. The lodge is a welcome and warm place with shorter trails for weaker skiers or children. The North American Vasa race starts and ends at Timber Ridge on the second weekend in February.
