Only tamale I have ever enjoyed! Perfect balance of meat and masa. I had the pork tamale. Burrito was also excellent! Clean, friendly, great experience! Definitely worth checking out!

this out of the way restaurant is worth the search. It is tucked behind a hospital in a small shopping area. the restaurant is small but does have a few outdoor picnic tables. The food is great. We have tried tostadas and Tacos. Both are large servings and if you are not a There are vegetarian options as well as beef, pork and chicken. There is a limited menu but is large enough for lunch. Try it..

Taco, tamale, burrito and more. If you want a bit of authentic Mexican menu for lunch you need to give this a try. Spanglish is a popular lunch spot of the locals that work at the Village at Grand Traverse Commons (the old state hospital grounds reinvented). You will be treated to local sourced ingredients prepared by great chefs for a reasonable (even cheap) price. If you leave hungry it will be your own fault.

My wife and I travel with our dog and are always looking for places that we can go where he's accepted or welcome. The Grand Traverse Commons is a great place to go with your dog. You can walk the grounds; there are lots of paths and interesting things to sniff. Then after you work up a little appetite, you can go to Spanglish and order awesome, home made with love Mexican food and sit with your dog on the patio at one of the picnic benches. You'll likely meet a few new friends if you have a cute dog like my Reggie. Your definitely going to leave full and you will undoubtedly have a great meal. Its not that hard to find and there's plenty to do back there, so go with an appetite.
